VetoSMP is a season-based Minecraft server where every day at 8 PM a random rule affecting gameplay changes, such as doubling ores, enabling PvP everywhere, sharing health between players, or making mobs giant.
Every Sunday, players vote to elect a new mayor. A max of 3 players can run at once, and running costs 2,000 coins and requires backing from 3 other players. Players cannot vote for themselves.
Mayors can cancel 2 rules a week, lock in 1 rule for the whole week, and pick tomorrow's rule once. If players don't like the current mayor, they can impeach them (requires 60% or more to vote yes).
Each season lasts four weeks before the server resets, with the final week (Chaos Week) featuring two rule changes per day. At the end, mayors and season winners are permanently recorded in the Hall of Fame.
