Welcome to ProtoSMP, a new Minecraft server founded in May 2026, known for its amazing experiences. If you are looking for a friendly community, we are a laid-back, no grief, PvE economy server and Minecraft SMP where we value our players above all else.
Our vanilla plus survival server offers a variety of plugins that enhance the player experience while also staying true to Minecraft's roots. As a dedicated mcMMO server, you can enjoy rewarding skill progression alongside EssentialsX, giving you all the basic commands you need right from the start (including /sethome, /tpa, /warp, and a starter survival kit).
Show your support by voting to earn in-game items and Proto Coins. Proto Coins are our main currency, which you can also earn by grinding wild mobs, mining precious ores, or selling items through our player shops (with more ways to earn coming soon!). You can use these coins to climb our 8-tier shop to unlock custom ranks. As you rank up, your general perks scale with you, granting you more sethomes, extra listing slots in the market, and increased mcMMO XP multipliers, with more perks being added daily!
Our custom ranks and their corresponding chat colors are:
• Guest (Grey - Default Rank)
• Initiate (White)
• Member (Yellow)
• Adept (Yellow-Green)
• Vanguard (Bright Green)
• Veteran (Teal)
• Elite (Blue)
• Champion (Purple)
• Legend (Orange)
Server Features & Perks:
• Grief Prevention: Your builds are safe on our no grief server! Claiming starts automatically with your first chest (granting a 12-block radius / 625 square blocks). You earn an additional 625 claim blocks for every hour you play, and you can easily expand your land using a golden shovel.
• Quality of Life Mechanics: We feature a custom tree feller plugin (Timbr) where you can sneak while chopping wood to fell the entire tree, complete with falling animations, dropped leaf loot, and mcMMO XP for every block (balanced by taking appropriate axe durability!). You can also use Veinminer to sneak-break up to 12 connected ores at once, and pick up monster spawners using Silky Spawners (requires Silk Touch).
• Immersive Exploration: Experience realistic seasons across a massive 30,000x30,000 block world. We have pre-generated the chunks to ensure your exploration is fast and makes for a truly lag free SMP. Need to find a spot to build? Use WildRTP to instantly drop into a safe location within 10,000 blocks of spawn!
• Next-Level Tech & Maps: Check out our fully 3D, Google Earth-style web map via BlueMap at https://map.protosmp.net . We also support proximity chat through the Simple Voice Chat mod, as well as Voxy support. If you run Voxy on your client, you can experience up to a massive 512-chunk render distance without lag!
• Discord Integration: Our in-game chat is linked directly to Discord via DiscordSRV. Use /discord link to sync your account, and your in-game ranks and custom RGB name colors will automatically match your Discord roles. Join our community here: https://discord.gg/BSWuSjpvec
