eBay SMP is an SMP where you can work a job for money, to buy items from player auctions. Players are encouraged to kill, steal and sell items on ebay (The auction house) to gain wealth as the poorest players will be subject to loan sharks, punishments and scrutiny for being lesser members of the in-game society.
